Challenge

Scarlet & Argent is an exquisite collection of woollen blankets, throws and accessories for the home.

While the company – which holds a Royal Warrant for its interior fabrics – is highly regarded as a supplier to trade, it had little or no awareness among the UK consumer.

Solution

We developed and delivered the launch PR campaign for Scarlet & Argent to communicate with trade, business and consumer media.

We made the most of the company’s famous heritage and Royal connections – Prince William’s uniform when he married Kate Middleton was made from Hainsworth fabric – as well as the kudos surrounding “Best of British”.

Outcome

Coverage was secured across all key national media including three mentions in the Daily Mail as well as a prominent mention in the Sunday Times’ Style magazine’s Lifestyle Interiors “One to Worship” column. Further coverage was achieved in the Daily and Sunday Telegraph and a clutch of glossy lifestyle magazines.

Retail listings were secured with John Lewis, Harrods and Liberty and website sales increased month on month.
