A little bit about us

Mason was founded in 2003 by seasoned journalists, Nick and Lucy Mason. Both had served their time with the Daily Mail in London but wanted to return north and establish their own business.

While starting out as a PR company, our offer has developed to also include strategic marketing advice, engaging content creation, brand development and a range of digital services.

Many of our services are delivered by our hard-working in-house team which includes experienced PR professionals, marketers, content curators and social media whizzes.

When required, we partner with some of the best creative minds in the business to ensure our clients receive the most exceptional work possible.

We aim to bring a refreshing approach to each and every project. This means getting the strategy right and then delivering the results which can have a tangible impact on your company, brand or organisation.

We’ll also do our best to ensure we forge a great working relationship that is enjoyable for both sides.

An experienced national newspaper journalist who has run Daily Mail news teams in London and Manchester. Now responsible for setting the strategy for Mason and many of our clients. He is also a mentor on the Welsh Government’s Accelerated Growth Programme and a Trustee of Cheshire Community Foundation.

Depending on the time of year, Nick can be found on a squash court or cricket pitch.

Before setting up Mason, Lucy was a writer and commissioning editor for regional and national newspapers including the Daily Mail in London. Now heads up Mason client projects, particularly those involving challenger consumer brands aiming to disrupt the market.
